Welcome Back Packet - 25/26 School Year
Dear Highland Families,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I hope you have had a great summer
break so far. We are excited to welcome you back to campus on Tuesday, July
22nd, for our first day of school. We look forward to a year filled with all the
things that make Highland a great place to be - dances, pep assemblies,
concerts, games, performances, and club activities. We hope you will come
ready to dive in and get involved!
Prior to the start of the school year, the campus will be open from
3:00 pm -5:00 pm on Thursday, July 17th, and again on Friday, July 18th, for
students to walk schedules. Counselors and teachers will not be available on either day.
Freshman orientation is a great opportunity for our incoming 9th grade students to familiarize
themselves with the campus, meet some of their teachers, and connect with our Link Crew leaders.
Orientation will be held on July 17th and July 18th in the HHS gym. The schedule overview is below,
and detailed information is included in this packet.
- Freshman Orientation Info: Thursday, July 17th or Friday, July 18th.
- The orientation will be split by last names beginning with:
- A-L attend on July 17th, 8 am - 11:30 am
- M-Z attend on July 18th, 8 am - 11:30 am
- Orientation will start at 8:00 am PROMPT
- Marching Band students will attend orientation on July 18th, regardless of last name.
Toward the back of this guide, there is some important information and reminders about new and recent policy
changes, including IDs, cell phones, weapons detectors, and clear bags for athletic events for the upcoming year.
