At Gilbert Public Schools, excellence doesn't come by accident. It comes from a non-negotiable commitment to student success across the district, which has earned GPS an A-rating for three consecutive years since the return of district letter grades - an achievement that wouldn’t be possible without extensive work being done behind the scenes at both the campus and district levels.

The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) has released the 2024-25 School Letter Grades. For the 2024-25 school year Gilbert Public Schools has achieved an ‘A’ letter grade for our school district. Further, all GPS schools have achieved either an ‘A’ or ‘B’ letter grade, rating them as excellent or highly performing by the Arizona Department of Education.

Fall isn’t just a season of cooler weather and pumpkin décor — it’s a time when learning and community come together in memorable ways. From parades and festivals to Trunk-or-Treats and cultural celebrations, GPS schools are creating memories that show how education and joy can go hand in hand this ‘spooktacular’ season.

Outside of normal school hours, some students and staff are on campus for before and after-school programs that help students learn and grow outside of the classroom. On Thursday, October 23, GPS schools celebrated Lights On Afterschool to recognize our dedicated staff for their commitment to providing safe and engaging environments while also applauding the students who actively learn, grow, and thrive in these programs.

Gilbert Public Schools’ VIK before and after-school programs have earned two distinct recognitions from the Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence, having earned full accreditation for all 25 of its programs and the Commitment to Quality Award of Excellence.
