Honors Geometry and Honors Algebra 1 are classes that build skills within students to prepare them for future honors and AP level math classes at Highland High School.  The honors classes move at a faster pace when compared to a regular level math class.  Honors classes also have the opportunity to learn more material, and farther in depth, because honors students have a strong math background that does not require reteaching of essential math concepts.  Honors math students are held to a high standard, and are expected to be able to keep up with the pace of the course.
Both Honors Geometry and Honors Algebra 1 classes use a consumable textbook

About Me

I have been teaching high school math for 9 years.  This year is my 10th year.  I am originally from Chardon, OH and moved to Tucson, AZ when I was in middle school.  I grew up in Tucson, and attended The University of Arizona for my bachelors degree in math.  I have a masters degree in educational leadership, and I plan on exploring the administrative side of education at some point in my career.  For now though I am enjoying my time in the classroom.  I love math, and I love teaching math!
I have a dog named Andie, and I will be having my first child this December.  I am so excited to become a mom for the first time!
