Arizona Community Colleges and Universities – Two-Year vs. Four-Year colleges.  On what path should my child begin the collegiate process to obtaining a bachelor’s degree?  This session is recommended for junior parents.

  • College Application Process – A road map to the college application process.  This session will provide an overview for your 11th grade child.

  • Collegiate Athletics – Is your child wanting to compete at the next level?  This session will cover eligibility requirements for the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA entities to help prepare a student athlete for their first year of college and guide the athlete in the process of registering for college athletics.  This session is recommended for parents of all grade levels.

  • Managing High School and Beyond – Helping Freshman parents understand the keys to student success as their students transition into high school, navigate their four years here, and finally transition into their post-secondary life.

  • Scholarships – The scholarship process includes ensuring that students are knowledgeable about the wide range of scholarship opportunities from those based on academics, community service, leadership, and/or talent, as well as how to research scholarship opportunities.  Preparation for these opportunities makes the final search that much easier for students who have planned ahead.  This session is recommended for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade parents.

  • Vocational Opportunities – The majority of workers have their initial training with certification programs, apprenticeships, or in the military.  Oftentimes, due to the sheer volume of options and lack of notoriety, many of our students are not exploring these opportunities in high school.  The world of work and today are explored.  This session is recommended for parents of all grade levels.

  • What College am I? (College Fit) – Determining which college or university will best suit a student is a process that begins many months or even years before the application process begins.  This session will outline considerations for narrowing the list of schools that may serve as the best "fit" for your child, which in turn makes the application process smoother and more manageable during the senior year.  Topics covered in this session will include how to research a college, questions your child should ask on a college tour, the benefits of liberal arts colleges, a brief look at rankings and if you should use them as a determining factor, as well as a brief exploration of non-traditional college options that may benefit your son or daughter. Overall, we will look at "fit" of the school to the individual. This session is recommended for 9th, 10th and 11th grade parents.
